I just purchased a new F4-210 as my previous one had a broken drive slot.
Because of the broken drive slot, I was only using 3 out of 4 drives.
Now I have the new machine, I would like to utilize all 4 disks.
What I'm hoping to do is add the 3 existing drives to the new machine along with an empty 4th drive.
I want to use this in the JBOD configuration and combine all 4 together as one big storage pool.
However, I'm extremely worried about accidentally losing data on the existing 3 disks, so how do I go about this process?
I would really appreciate someone helping me with this!

Your current RAID settings does not support online migration. You have to back up your data, delete your current volume and RAID and rebuild it to another RAID with your 4 drives.

Like I said, I had 3 drives (2x10tb and 1x12 tb)
Funny enough, I have just over under 12tb of data on these 3 drives, so I'm hoping to use my 4th disk for now, as I have no other means to store 12tb of data!
Would it be possible to connect my old F4-210 and back up all the data between two devices?

sure, you can. Rsync backup is a better option for backup between two TNASs.

I have never used Rsync before, is there a quick guide that explains how to set it up?

it is simple. just enable Rsync server on one of your TNAS(the backup destination), and create Rsync backup task on another TNAS(backup source), just follow the menu, fill in the necessary items.
