F4-210 Initialization Problem

Hi there,

I would like to create a new RAID with my device.

However, each time I delete the existing volume and pool the system reboots to initialisation and will only allow me create a RAID 6 with my 4 x 6TB disks. How can I get the device to give me choice of what RAID type and size I require?

Thank you.

Michael

Click the RAID6 box, it will drop down to select the RAID or cancel the selected hard disk.

I'm afraid I am not given the option of selecting a RAID type during initialisation - it skips straight to formatting after I input user details.

I have been able to work around by starting up with only one drive installed. Add the other drives and then delete the volume & pool; and then start from there within the TOS.

I would much rather do a low level format & RAID at initialisation stage.

Any suggestions for a complete wipe of the device?

Thanks.

A low level format could wipe your HDDs completely.
