Close Trasmission APP

Hi to everyone,
i have download and install "Transmission" APP and all it's seems good.
The App is running but, my question is:
How Can I close the APP running in background on TOS S.O.? I think that the app request a bit of ram so when I don't use the APP I'd like to close it. Is it possibile?
Sorry for my newbie question and if I posted in the wrong place...
