Hi my first post here.
Question is, can I connect D4-300 (DAS) to F4-210 (NAS) through usb connection and use it as drive expansion ?
Will be D4-300 recognized by F4-210 or should I use two nas boxes.
I like to use existing hard drives from my two pc's which are used as servers.
HDD's are WD Red 4TB.

You can do this, D4-300 will be equivalent to a USB external storage device.

So, We can use these Plugged into the USB of a F5-221 and a F5-422 and they will be detected as external storage?

does that means we have to install TNAS before using or can we just Plug N Play?

Also, would all 4 Drives be detected as ONE Drive or would they show as 4 x Drives in any F5-221 and a F5-422?

I've been looking for a 4 bay caddy to use with my Terramaster NAS machines and these would be great for this purpose.

Would like to hear from @statler22 and his experiences.
