SMB/CIFS Remote Folder (F4-220 v4.2.09)

I'm not sure if this issue was previously addressed here, but it seems like in TOS 4.2.09 I can no longer connect to the remote folders. If I'm trying to mount a shared folder, but the operation always fails. In the shared folder box I always use format \\folderipaddress\folder then correct username and password, but it never mounts the folder. I could do it easily in the previous TOS version so not sure if it's the current TOS version bug. I can connect to SMB shared folder from any computer in my network, so the credentials I'm using in TOS are correct. Can someone check this out for me?

Yep its broke. The Cifs-utils package is missing and has reduced functionality.
This problem is discussed on the following threads which has a temporary workaround in place until TerraMaster accept the problem and include the package in the next release:

You will need to remove the SMB1 flags from the mount command, but this will allow you to perform a basic mount.

Thank You for the reply. It seems like its general issue and not individiual. Hopefully that Terramaster will fix this or completely remove this option from TOS. We do not need features which are broken and not working

As previously mentioned in other posts, they have said they will 'look to' include the package in future builds but i dobht that formally got logged.

Following on from my
Cron post, I have now hit the mounting an external Drive/NAS issue.
I can get it mounted, as root, but then can not access it from within the GUI.
Looks like I am stymied on both points
I guess it is gonna be a manual mount followed by manual execution of the rsync command.
Or, create a shell script to at least partially automate it.

I had to manually change permissions via a root console to get it browsable then leave a console open while i used the cp command.
TerraMaster recommend just dragging and dropping using your pc but that doesn't help you when both source and destination nas are plugged into the same switch and your windows laptopis on wifi in a different room.
Wifi dropped like a stone when i tried that lol.
