D5-300C Increasing Raid 1 Size

I currently have 2x 4TB drives in a RAID 1 setup connected on USB to Windows 10. I wanted to upgrade to 2x 6TB and I know that I can remove one at a time to rebuild the array, which I did but it still only shows up as 4TB.
What else do I need to do to make it 6TB or do I need to reformat and start over by moving files to it again (sigh).
I did a rescan under Disk Management (not refresh) but that didn't change anything.
