TerraSync Mac Client's "On-Demand Sync" Is Now Available

Hello everyone! TerraSync On-Demand Sync for Mac is officially live! Once enabled, cloud files on your TNAS will only be downloaded to your local drive when needed, significantly reducing local storage consumption. At the same time, all file directories remain visible in Finder, allowing you to access them just like local files. Enjoy a lighter and more efficient workflow between your Mac and TNAS.

What's New:
1. Better error alerts and logging.

How to Update: Go to TOS > App Center > Installed, locate the TerraSync app, click "Update", and follow the on-screen prompts.
TNAS PC 5.2.560 Release Notes
The TerraSync desktop client is built into TNAS PC.
Platform: Windows / Linux / macOS Version: 5.2.560
What's New:
1. Added Mac-side On-Demand Sync support.
2. Enhanced exception handling and alerts for sync tasks.
3. Fixed an issue where SSL certificates failed to take effect in certain scenarios.
4. Resolved other known bugs.
How to Update: The client will automatically detect the new version and prompt you to update—simply follow the on-screen guide. You can also manually download it from https://support.terra-master.com/download, or find and install TNAS PC under TOS > App Center > All.

How to Enable
- Update the TNAS PC for Mac desktop client to version 5.2.560.
- Update the TOS suite TerraSync to version 2.1.560.
- Open TNAS PC and enable the "On-Demand Sync" option in your sync task settings.
- Full TNAS directory in Finder: Browse your complete cloud folder structure right in Finder, with cloud files marked by dedicated placeholder icons.
- On-demand file downloading: No need to cache everything to your local drive in advance; files are downloaded only when you actually open them.
- Flexible storage management: Free up local space manually whenever you like, or let the system automatically reclaim space when local storage runs low—helping your MacBook easily handle massive cloud data.
