Vaultwarden Password Management Server
Vaultwarden is an open-source, self-hosted password manager compatible with Bitwarden clients. Written in Rust, it is lightweight and ideal for NAS, VPS, or Raspberry Pi. It stores passwords, TOTP codes, secure notes, passkeys, attachments, and sharing collections, with multi-user support, organizations, folders, policies, and admin controls.
It implements Bitwarden’s API, so official web vault, browser extensions, desktop, and mobile apps work after pointing them to your server. Data can be kept in SQLite, MySQL, or PostgreSQL; everything is encrypted client-side, so the server never sees plaintext secrets. Features include autofill, breach/report tools, email verification, SMTP alerts, and optional emergency access.
