F4-425-Plus with TOS 7.0.0804 and BIOS MTWL0101.V04

UniFi UPS Tower with firmware 1.6.1

Every other day since 8/4/2026 TOS is coming out of a sleep/suspend/hibernate at 12 PM PST which is triggering UPS notifications as though there has been a loss of power event on the UPS when there has been none.

The firmware on the UPS was updated on 8/3/2026 and it is possible TNAS is now doing something weird with the output from the UPS.

Regarding the UPS notification issue you mentioned, the content posted on the TerraMaster forum and on UniFi appears to differ somewhat.

Leaving aside factors such as the UPS itself, one possible speculation is that it may be related to a known "clock change / NTP synchronization" issue in the current TOS 7 version.

The exact connection would require further confirmation. You may want to keep an eye on the release notes for future TOS 7 updates.

If you have time, you could also try manually putting the NAS into sleep mode and then waking it up, to see if a similar UPS notification appears.

UPS notification and NTP issues may well be related, but I think it predates recent TOS7 updates.

I don't believe what was posted is different in any meaninful way. The only difference is the removal of a duplicate line about the notification message which adds no value. That post was born of laziness before I decided to actually go look at my Graylog server which collects logs from everything in my network.

There is no logging from the UPS or other protected devices on the UPS to indicate anything has happened on the UPS. I am merely waiting for Ubiquiti to confirm what I already know at this point that it's not a problem with the UPS. There are also unprotected devices connected to the UPS which are not powering off during these events. I hope we're not sincerely thinking this is a problem with the UPS at this point when the notifications happen only when and every time the NAS is "de-activating obsolete UPS readings to avoid an unfortunate shutdown". If anything it may simply be an issue with how the NAS is parsing the information from the UPS which did change in some small ways adding additional information and removing the charging status if it is no longer charging... or some other bug like the NTP items you have mentioned.

I do not know how to put the NAS into sleep mode. I can't find any settings for this in the configuration pages and there is no documentation I can find on your website or the F4-425 Plus manual. I don't know why it is even doing this every 48 hours at 12 PM to begin with and assume it's just some normally scheduled operation on your NAS.

The closest thing I could find was a scheduled shutdown and startup which reproduced the same behavior and logs.
