Help!!!!
I just bought a new F6-424 and need help adding drives
I am moving things from my F5-221 and was hoping to take the drives with info over without losing everything
Is this possible
cant access the system of the f5-221 so i'm not sure how to get the data over unless it can be done by whole drive
Any help is good

The 221 is a TOS4-era product that is no longer in production, while newer TNAS models use TOS5 or later by default, which requires a different disk partition structure.
If you plan to use a new TNAS model, we recommend that you prioritize backing up your data to another device before reformatting the drives on the new TNAS model.
If you are unable to back up your data, please purchase an SSD of any size that fits the corresponding slot (SATA or M.2) for the system installation.
Use only the new SSD to install and initialize the system on the new model (do not insert the old drive to prevent data loss).
After completing the initial setup, some special steps are required for the TNAS to recognize and inherit your old drives. Please contact our online customer service to schedule an engineer to assist you remotely.

If you ever formatted the disks to a new partition format (characterized by an 8GB root system partition) during an upgrade to TOS5 or TOS6, you can simply reinstall TOS on the new TNAS to continue using it. If you encounter any “delete/format” prompts during the TOS reinstallation process, please stop the operation to prevent data loss.
