TOS 4.2.06 Release Notes
This update includes following bug fixes for the previous version, new features and optimized user interface:
1. Optimized the patterns of SSL certificate;
2. Optimized the patterns of fonts at Control Panel;
3. Canceled the feature of uploading documents to TOS desktop;
4. Fixed the issue of Apply button at UPS window;
5. Optimized the searching function at TOS Control Panel;
6. Fixed the issue of password format at password resetting page.

Applicable models:
ARM: F2-210, F4-210
X.86: F2-220, F2-221, F2-420, F2-421, F2-422, F4-220, F4-221, F4-420, F4-421, F4-422, F5-220, F5-221, F5-225, F5-420, F5-421, F5-422, F8-421, F8-422

Important Notes
This update is only suitable for TOS 4.1.27 or above.
This update is not suitable for TOS4.2.X beta.
SMB, CIFS, AFP, FTP, Telnet, SSH, UPnP and Bonjour services would be enabled (re-enabled) automatically after updating to TOS4.2.06 because of the reset of configuration file.
TOS4.2.06 is compatible only with TNAS Mobile APP 2.4.3 or above.

How to install TOS update?
1. Download the update package:
For X.86: https://dl.terra-master.com/cn/TOS_S2.0 ... 041407.bz2
For ARM: https://dl.terra-master.com/cn/TOS_A1.0 ... 041414.bz2
2. Go to TOS> Control Panel> General Settings> Update & Restore, and click “Manual Update”;
3. Click "Browse" to select the update package;
4. Click "Apply";
5. Clean your brower cache after update.

Issue report:
If you encounter issue during using, please report to TerraMaster official forum “TOS update”.

Re-installation
You may have to reinstall your TOS to 4.2.06 from 4.2.05 beta, here is the installation package:

For ARM 210 models: https://dl.terra-master.com/cn/TOS_A1.0 ... 041414.ins

F2-220 on 4.2.05 - getting error "Update package is not correct!!!". And yes, I am using the x86 version, not ARM (which my system does not support).

Nevermind just noticed this in the release notes - "this update is only suitable for TOS 4.1.27 or above".

So how do I update from 4.2.05? Seems like there are bug fixes in this version that patch issues I'm experiencing on 4.2.05, but I can't update with this file.

You may have to reinstall your TOS to 4.2.06 from 4.2.05, here is the installation package link for your reference:

Hello,

For me remains blocked when the software is unzipped

thanks for the update, it installed without an issue for me (i was running 4.1.31 previously)

however looking at the application list the menu seems to be awkward to read due to the background images (attached photo) it looks like its killed my plex database again (it seems to happen with every upgrade that i have mess about to get it to kick back in) but i shall wait to see if this is just a case of its re-organising its database however all shares came back without an issue so its main purpose of a NAS drive seems to be functioning

I updated from TOS 4.1.30.

For me version 4.1.3 looked more polished (icons, fonts, windows...) than this 4.2.06.

When I go to Applications, huge icons are covering up the menu options on the left side of the window (see screenshot).

***Later*** - I can see sianderson is having the same issue

The huge icon is appeared on TOS4.2.06?

Yes those huge icons are on TOS 4.2.06.
