[Help] FILE MANAGER
Posted: 24 Jun 2026, 19:35
The latest file manager (and many versions before) does NOT cancel concurrent tasks. I already reported this many times in the past, even on TOS 6.
Example:
- I copy many folders from the NAS to an external HDD or SSD (exFat for example)
- while copying, sometimes the task window inside the File Manager disappears after some time (? why?) and I had a hard time to find that I could find which tasks were going on, on the right bar, the last icon "background tasks"
- if I make a second task also copying from the NAS to the same HDD, it starts but if I cancel it -even after confirming it- it won´t cancel and stays there going on!
Solution?
- I have to pause the second task and wait until the first is done. Then I reboot the NAS. This happens all the time while I use a SSD, HDD whatever. It happens on my F4-423 (TOS 6 or TOS 7)
Requests:
- solve this issue
- that the file manager itself has a shortcut for that "background task" within the file manager, if I have the file manager in full screen, those background tasks running disappear
