Also no idea where to post this. :)

I backed up my data from my F4-424 Pro to my D4-320 (which is a storage pool on F6-424) ** I had to totally rebuild the Pro unit
I am restoring the data back.
Does it make sense and if possible to unmount the D4-320 storage pool from the F6-424 and mount it on the Pro?
Would the data copy back any faster? Is it worth it? Not that I'm in a hurry.

Side Note: All three of my devices F4-424 Pro, F4-425 Plus and the F6-424 have the second NIC connected to a separate 2.5ghz switch.
The second NIC is basically my backup network.

Connecting a DAS to another NAS to migrate storage pools and volumes is a feasible approach. You will need to remount the storage pools and volumes after the migration is complete.

The data transfer speeds of Ethernet cables and USB cables typically exceed the read/write speeds of hard drives, so the performance bottleneck lies with the hard drives. There will be no noticeable change in overall data transfer speed as a result.

Thank you for the reply. Good to know, so for safety sake it might be better to just do to the copy through the network, rather than risking messing up the storage pool. That and I'm not sure the USB cable will reach to the other NAS. :)
