Hi TMroy
I have more than 5TB of available space on my NAS, so the space is not a problem to upload 1GB files

The update 5.1.29 broke my f2-221.
SMB speed was terrible on this version. The best i had was 3 mb/s on file transfert. Streaming media from NAS stop working.
Nas didn't show up again on ipad with VLC. All the other nas appears online but not the terramaster.
The NAS only purpose is to host files. No service except SMB share. So i can't comments on apps.
Went back to 5.0.176. Speed went back to normal. Nas appear on Ipad.
This is a very bad update. Wait for another version.
Same issue, same model. Emby and Plex load up after many issues and reinstalls but files do not get streamed and says they are missing even tough they are there. Completely broke my media server abilities and left me with a useless box that does nothing. Not to mention it takes ages to restart and load up now.

I noticed SMB issues (speed rate drop and incompatibility with other clients such as Android ASTRO) from 5.1.24. I had no issue on 5.0.176, might be worth to roll back to that version while they are fixed.

The SMB issue has been fixed in 5.1.33

Yes, the size of your system partition is still 2GB. Upgrading TOS5.1.33 and above may result in unusable.
Currently there is only one method:
Back up the data, delete the partitions of the hard disk through the hard disk tool, and then reinstall TOS.

Or do I have to use GParted, Partition Magic, etc.
Yes. I think it may be explained better in earlier posts.

For me on F5-221 the update went smoothly from 5.1.24, without any problem. Now the "slow SMB" problem seems solved, I have a noname Realtek USB to 2,5G ethernet adapter connected to my routers 2,5Gbps port, and on my WiFi6 connected notebook the down/up speed is over 160MB/s (it's 1,3Gbps). I have a 120GB SSD dedicated to system, 2x1GB SSD in RAID1 for critical data, and 2x1GB SSD as single disks. I never had mystic problems with my login, never had lost drives, so I can say the system is rock solid for me, and I think this much crying is primarily user error!
Hi Pisti, which adapter have you used? Could you please mention the model? The original Terramaster adapter not work, have tried two of them... Thanks!

If you already have the Terra-Master one(s), it may need this fix applied to it/them @
viewtopic.php?f=82&t=5257&p=30301&sid=8 ... f1b#p30301; technically, any RTL8156× USB 2.5 Gbps Ethernet Adapter
could apply that "fix" (at your own risk) to work as an official one.

Funny things, that I tried this fix, and the burning program cannot recognize the Terra-master adapter

Don't know what should I make to recognize it...

Does Windows detect the adapter at all?
