The NAS turns off randomly, this is no longer an isolated case. It's just that the beeper beeps and the system shuts down
What is your device model? What TOS version were you using before upgrading to version 461? What type of array did you set up? Have you performed any other operations previously?

This might resolve your issue. If the problem persists, please provide the following information so we can better analyze and address it: Which TOS version did you upgrade from to TOS 6.0.461? What is the current storage status of your device: how many disks are in use? What type of array is configured? How many volumes are there?

Tony92 wrote: 07 Sep 2024, 05:03 Ran update to 6.0.461 on a F4-424 PRO.
Now in File Manager it shows “Operation Failed” and then refuses to show any of my files.
If I mount the drives over SMB on a Mac computer I can still see my files.
My docker containers on the NAS appear to no longer be able to create new folders and write to the disks due to needing new folders.

Are there options to downgrade/rollback an update?

Tried to Restore Shared Folders, it didn't do much in terms of TOS File Manager being able to display my content. For the first reboot after restoring shared folders TOS shown shared folders under location but would not show what was in the shared folders.
My Docker container SABNzbd has been able to write to the drives, so I'm not going to mess with things much more.. I can survive until a future update and hope that fixes things.
Hardware is in my signature. Running a F4-424 Pro with a D8 Hybrid attached to it which I just got yesterday Sept. 06. I do not recall which version of TOS 6 I was on prior to updating to the latest. Looking through my downloads folder i see i have a 6.0.420 download which would be the original install I made use of when upgrading to TOS 6

Hi, I have an F4-424 Pro, I update as soon as the update comes out. Raid array I have a TRAID, never had such a thing. For the first time this started happening on assembly 461, even on 460 there was no such thing, it worked quietly, but here it just turns off stably once every 1-2 days. I have exported a zip archive for contacting via mail, maybe you can find something.

MisterXY wrote: 07 Sep 2024, 16:27 What is also very modest is the fact that only hard drives that have been formatted by TOS can be mounted. If I have a hard drive in BTRF or EXT4 format, I can only mount it if I format it in TOS and 4 partitions (3 of which are not needed) are written to it.

That is incorrect. I have mounted exfat, NTfs and ext4 partitions. It does seem a bit clunky, but you do have to select the actual partitions (not DISK) before selecting the 'mount disk' function. You may also have to reboot device for the mount to be recognised.
Sorry, no Partition, no mount.

How is your disk partitioned?

1 Partition with btrf format.

Ah, I don't have a way to check btrfs formats at the moment. The 'four partitions' you mentioned in your earlier post is a confusion with the TOS operating system requirements and don't relate to individually mounted disks under TOS6. As for btrfs, I suspect this was not included as a 'supported system' for this function as btrfs is not exactly a popular file system for individual drives.
