OwnTone (previously forked-daapd)

OwnTone is a Linux/FreeBSD DAAP (iTunes), MPD (Music Player Daemon) and RSP (Roku) media server.

It supports AirPlay devices/speakers, Apple Remote (and compatibles), MPD clients, Chromecast, network streaming, internet radio, Spotify and LastFM.

It does not support streaming video by AirPlay nor Chromecast.

DAAP stands for Digital Audio Access Protocol which is the protocol used by iTunes and friends to share/stream media libraries over the network.

OwnTone was previously called forked-daapd, which again was a rewrite of mt-daapd (Firefly Media Server).

We need a good copy and sync application for the armv8, we have nothing acceptable. It would be good to have "duplicati" and "freefilesync". I know freefilesync has a gui and it's not easy at all to implement, but if we can just run the batch tasks without graphical interface it would be enough, we can make the configuration in the XML file. At the moment rsync scripts are fine but rsync lack a lot of functionality like detecting moved or renamed files, etc.. So please consider to improve the basic functionalities of the armv8 versions

Thank you for your reply @Roccia7, resilio doesn't cover my needings. I started to build my own scripts with rclone to automate the backups.

Is it possible to develop a nice, stable multimedia server that doesn't throw a wobbler every time there is a system update? :)

There's already, it's called synology. Or, if you prefer to keep Terramaster, you can use xpenology :D ;) 8-)
