And I just turned on 'Security Isolation Mode' and no apps show in App Center now. Says 'No Valid Data' under all or installed. Wow this is mess. Is there a way to reinstall the app center or install the app packages again?

I downloaded TNAS PC V5.0.12 on a mac that once had an old version of TNAS PC installed. Is there any configurationfile/folder from TNAS PC 4 that has to be erased?

Don't know what settings I can change.

Security Isolation mode disconnects the internet, hence no apps. You need to leave isolation mode long enough to install apps.

Hi to admins/mods:

1. Since the root file system, storage path, application installation location, and startup method of TOS 5.0 are different from those of the previous version, you cannot directly update to TOS 5.0 from the current version, but need to reinstall the system.

I would like to confirm that by doing factory reset install, user/data partitions will be wiped or not? I am asking because i have a plex server on, with 3.1tb data on it, not to mention the metadata with the library... i m not worried about the meta data but the main data, if it will be formated, it will have to be transfered somewhere before the process. and it is a very very long process.

i dont wanna loose my main data if it is gonna be formatted, i would prefer my metadata to be kept too, but not very worried about it.

can you confirm, if factory reset will also wipe the user/data partition too?
last time there were guides about how the hdd replacement 1 at a time to grow the disk size should work smoothly which didnt work ended up full formatting and reinstalling.

Factory reset will only delete system partition data, system users will be cleared but personal data of system users will not be cleared. If you mean array expansion, you can refer to the following: viewtopic.php?f=79&t=1543 If you want to use a larger capacity disk, you can just plug it in at boot time, then use the new disk to create a new volume, and then create a shared folder on the new volume to store your files.

@mysticusa

Before you update to TOS 5.0 you should be aware that the newest version of Plex Media Server does not work on the new TOS. I may be wrong, but I believe that the only version of PMS that will function with TOS is the Terra-Master one in the app store which is 1.24 which is out-of-date.

I did the factory reset and am at the initialization page. I want to keep my data, and the instructions say that factory reset won't delete data. However, when I try to initialize the TNAS with Custom or Automatic, I get the warning: "Data on hard drive(s) will be deleted! Are you sure you want to continue?" NO, I don't want to delete the data on my hard drives! I want to keep my data and just upload the file for the new OS and upgrade. What do I do?!?!?
