@Ninji23 → Do you have Plex Pass? (That's required for hardware transcoding)

F2-420 user here, So I understand if we update to TOS 5.1 we lose the ability to use hardware encoding with plex. Is this reversible by re-updating to an OLDER TOS version?

Re: TOS 5.1.24 is released for update!
hello
no major problem for 5.1.24 with t6-423
1. but after a restart cloudsync use up to 35% of ressource cpu.
I disabled cloudsync and restart it and after all is ok 0-5% of ressource cpu on idle.
2. Smb on windows seems to be slowest
thanks

just more information for you. I have two 3.5"HDD installed. The main which the system is installed, the SMB windows (or Android as well) copy/write fuctions suffer ~40-50mb/sec while at the second HDD, writing is better ~150mb/sec..with 5.0.176 performance was ~220-240mb/sec at both HDDs, something is not working OK

F5-422, installed. works great!
after a while couldnt signed in (user not exist). restart and it worked and i could sign in.
But the transfer speed is at 90-120 at most with 10gbe connection.

Re: TOS 5.1.24 is released for update!
F5-221, installed update with no issues.
Experiencing the same issue as other where network transfer speeds have slowed down drastically.
I have noticed in the Processes screen, smbd process is utilizing > 80%.
3x12TB & 2x18TB on TRAID.
At last check, there are now 2 smbd processes, respectively at 83% and 84%. The number of clients and mapped drives have not changed since prior to the update, and I've never ever seen smbd processes utilizing this much CPU before, until this 5.1.24 version. Even when there is zero network activity on the mapped network drives for SMB, the utilization still sits at > 80%
Serving the users on my Emby media server is not a huge issue, but there is significant degradation of read & write speeds to the file system.
The high smbd processes causes "System sluggish" notifications alot more now.

Watch out, after the update, I was having trouble to connect to the TOS via the web browser.
Turn off adblockers like adguard , brave , etc....... for TOS IP adress.

{L_BUTTON_AT}zedmel
When accessing TOS via the web, is there any prompt on the page?
Whether it can be accessed normally through SMB.
