How to set FTP remote access?

I think it's a folder permissions issue: It's missing the "list" permission, which is supposed to be implicit with read-only permissions, right?
In TOS 5, I used the Outkastm 'sFTPGo' module, and that permission had to be explicitly set for the files to be visible.
I've tried connecting via Telnet and changing the permissions to chmod 777 on the folder, without success.

I don't know much more about these things, but I understand it must be like FTP (without the 'S') where you connect and the shared folders appear directly, right?
