Re: The Brand New TOS 5 is Released!
So I guess TerraMaster are just giving up on the ARM models, wish I had known this when I bought it
Re: The Brand New TOS 5 is Released!
Yep, that's why I am in the process of buying a Syn NAS and shucking my f4-210. Nothing actually wrong with my 210 other than the poor UI/OS, security holes and them giving up on ARM. It was a decent few years as a file server.
Re: The Brand New TOS 5 is Released!
So are we ever going to get an ARM version? I have an F4-210 and will NOT be happy if the ARM-based devices are abandoned.

while i share your thoughts, if you look at the version numbers being released, its probably better to wait until its stable before porting it across otherwise as a developer you are trying to fight fires on two fronts and bugs will exist in both

i've just clocked over 2 years with my F2-210, it seems to do everything i need it to do so i'm not seeing a need to replace it, even if the OS stays where it is, so as long as it carries on working then its good, i dont expose it to any incoming traffic from my router so unless the unit itself makes a connection out then the security holes can exist and not be exploited i guess, it all depends what you want from a nas drive i guess

Terrmaster, you promised TNAS mobile would be operational by mid July.
Plex still hasn't been updated with no promise as to when it will be.
It's a while since TOS 5 updated now and I feel like some integral user features are being forgotten

Re: The Brand New TOS 5 is Released!
One thing needs to be clear. Plex team needs to develop and maintain their app on their own, like what they doing for TOS 4. TerraMaster is not able to do such a job for a third-party app. We have informed Plex team about the TOS 5 release, unfortunately, the official plex app for TOS 5 does not come out yet at this moment.
You can help to push them too. Thank you!

Again: Or use a docker container which is independent from the developers will to adapt to a certain platform/software version. As long as docker works, of course.
