If I understand correctly, this is the abnormal permission setting you encountered on TOS6.
We have not received similar reports yet and will keep an eye on it.
The permission configuration for TOS7 has been optimized and should be better than TOS6.

The bar goes to full , and then reboots
have you tried factory reset your nas device before doing the upgrade ?
ok,"the bar goes full" is clearly different to what i see. I did several tries and it always goes to 9% as max.
I am trying to update a completely new device. In other words I tried to set it out of box and pass it to TOS 7 right away.
After several fails I formatted the nvme, set everything up and tried to update with the same result...

I understand TOS 7 is still in BETA. However, have users been experiencing a " Update check failed" response when going into Systems? Currently running on the 7.0.0375. My network is working just fine so I do not know what this means on my end or if the server end is having issues.

I have this exact behaviour right now, it is frustrating due to the constant email pings when it checks telling me there is a new system update available but when I log in I cannot perform any updates.

Sorry for the trouble.
We have observed multiple instances of this issue. The project team has started troubleshooting. The initial guess is that it may be due to a poor server connection.
Trying a few more times might work. If it still doesn't, you can download the update package directly using the link. (The 7.0.0392.bz2 link has been sent to you via private message on the forum)

As you can see in the attached screenshot, I am experiencing an issue with the automatic update on my F5-221 (currently running TOS 7.0.0364).
Despite having a working internet connection, the system displays the error: 'TNAS is not connected to the Internet' whenever I try to check for updates.
Since the automatic process is failing, could you please provide a direct download link for the latest firmware package? I would like to proceed with a manual update to resolve this connectivity bug.
