Isn't the F2-210 equipped with a RTD1296 SOC? (If so the Max RAM is 2GB but due to being an SOC the RAM isn't upgradeable, so 1GB it is ), Synology and QNAP also still sell NAS equipped with a non upgradeable SOC and even worse RAM specs. For example The DS220J has 512MB of RAM which is bonkers.

I have 4gb in my other f2-221 but I won't bother trying TerraSearch in that one until I start to see that others have successfully installed and used the app. It just seems not ready for prime time.
Terra search has some issues that need to be fixed. We plan to release an update later this month.

The last release (5.0.130) is completely broken!! Not only it fails at the restart but it really breaks the product:
CloudSync configuration disappears!! When I try to create a new conenction to OneDrive it's just impossible
Applications Center is empty!! no applications are offered no matter what the filters are!!
Fortunately data isn't lost

Did you tried to clear browser cache and refresh the page?
I am wanting to upgrade to TOS 5. But I want to double check a few things before I try to upgrade.
1. "Reset to Factory Default" and installing TOS 5 only removes the user settings, but NOT user data? Correct? I do not have anywhere to backup 30TB of data so I want to make sure that I am not screwing myself by doing this.
2. I believe I have stored my user data under the root account, I read that a TOS 5 update now removes the root user from use. Do I need to make a new account and give it permission to that data before the update?

Hi, whatever the answer to your first question is, you ABSOLUTELY need a backup of your data. Even if the reset doesn't delete your data there may something fo wrong while installing the new OS! Also you need to have a backup in general in case of an attack from the internet, which may always be happening.

I am now stuck on the same issue. After factory reset, during initialization and clicking "Custom" it is telling me that proceeding will wipe my HDDs of data.. I need help. Were you able to get around this?
I agree! If I'd have know this I would have bought a better NAS!
