It's great to hear that you have finally resumed usage. However, based on the available information, it is still difficult to accurately guess the reason.
Could it possibly be that the SSDs became loose due to accidental bumps during transportation? If you have the means, I recommend testing the SSDs.
You can collect a system report via TOS-Support-Report Issues and send it to the support email, perhaps we can identify something.
Regarding the expired certificate, you can go to TOS Control Panel-Security-Certificate, where you can update it.

here, for the report
also updated the security cert, ty
currently when open up Storage Manager-Disk-Overview, it says its in good condition. These drives are not that old either. for the seating, I've removed them and plugged them back in multiple times.
I did a test quickly as well, and really really hoped it would work.since it was running, everything seemed fine. i turned it off, unplugged and replugged the cables. then started. went right back to beginning. I had to restart with the drives off, then put them back in. somehow, i got it working again. but now im scared to turn it off

if i can, ill go to the tnas web page and do the shutdown procedure.
if i cant, then ill use the power button, though now that i think about it, before i moved, i feel like i just used the power button, and unplugged the cables, once the fans stopped spinning and the lights turned off. since previously, i just left it on and connected

Is there something in my settings that prevent it from turning on the ethernet port on startup?

That certainly is best.

I'm not sure I understand. Is there something that makes you believe the port(s) don't turn on? You can change the order of preference for the ports.

Well, currently nas is connected direct to pc via ethernet cable. When starting up, the ethernet port will not light up, like its not connecting or something. The port seems to work, as its currently functioning, but thats only after i go through this process of unplugging the drives then going through a reset process. once i tunr the nas off, i gotta repeat this it seems like, definitely not normal behaviour.
Im assuming theres some sort of setting or something in the boot process that has an issue. i just dont know what.
