Yesterday I tried to upgrade my fresh TOS 5.1.145 to TOS6 420 beta (installed on an NVMe SSD (no HDD).
At the initialization step (superuser setup page) I set the previous NAS name, username and password - but clicking the “Next” button did not work.
Next attempt - booted from HDD (TOS 6 299? beta) and tried to upgrade to TOS 6 420 beta.
Problem remained the same - superuser installation does not accept my previous username and password.
When I used the username of one of the previous users (without admin rights) - then the NEXT button was pressed and I went to the next step.
Now I can login as this “superuser” - but the control panel is not displayed. )) bingo!

And a small inconvenience - please show your info banner for a while longer, right now it shows too short. Perhaps this is just my problem.

It was purchased in January 2020 and the system have two HDD one of 12Tb and other with 6Tb

I'm guessing you missed the download in the first post of this thread. READ the notes CAREFULLY. You will, of course, realise why @TMSupport did not push this update via the GUI.

As far as mail notification goes, there does seem to be an issue. I have yet to update to .420, but even earlier versions have had an issue somewhere. If I select 'local email' I can save the setting. However, that fails to send even a test email. If I try to set 'custom server', I cannot save the setting. Nothing fancy just Port 25 no authentication. It's been that way "for ever" on this device. Settings are exactly same as my 'production' machine Tos5.1.

USB UPS = I also think there is an issue there but I don't know if it is factual because I don't get email notifications ....... [Explanation - recently had several momentary power blackouts, enough to trigger messages from TOS5.1 (The network server) but not long enough to shutdown system. TOS6 carries on without notifications or so it seems.]

Question = If the TOS6 unit is sensing power fail via network server message, where would it be logged?

In this version, UPS over the network works perfectly in Synology.
I'm very happy about that. Thank you for doing it the same way as your competitors. That's the right decision.

Oh - new beta contain is many issue...
1. Now in freshed instalation (w NVMe) was downloading & installing a new OS TOS6 - this good.
But Attempt to restore system configuration finished without result - not wrote banner "Configuraition restore complete successfully".
At fact confifuration not restored (Volumes, shares, users, groups...) but when I tried to create a new user and used a previous config - this users was not created (( Common, what's wrong?!
