Unfortunately, that is the lowest common denominator that TM has to deal with. :(

Hello! Please tell me how I can configure the NAS F2-xxx with two 2.5Gb network cards, so that the scheme works - a router with Internet access is connected to the 1st LAN, a computer is connected to the 2nd LAN, and so that the computer can also work on the Internet. How to set up a NAS ?

Hi, TNAS itself does not have a router-like function to connect your computer to the router to access the Internet.

The 221 series update represents a significant advancement in terms of both performance and technology. For both new and returning customers, this new generation is an exciting growth as it improves efficiency, dependability, and user experience. The improvements should provide better working, satisfying contemporary needs while setting new benchmarks for the sector.

Using F2-223 for a month (241021), the hardware has good features, but TOS 5.1.145 is working OK and requiring some improvements.

Currently, 1x1T nvme ssd serves as vol 2 for data storage and the other old 256G nve ssd serves as read only hyper cache, with a N300 8T HDD, initialized as Single RAID.

Yesterday 241020, all handphones (when activated Tnas Mobile app) showing message "Tnas Mobile will have better features with TOS 6" (sort of). But checking this forum, not seeing TOS 6 is officially launched.

Good News...Eagerly wanting to try out the "good" TOS 6.

Currently, struggling to transfer a few terabyte of data to Tnas HDD. Only achieving a good consistent 110MBps through a 1Gbps TP-link switch.

When possible, is there a WAY (with work details) to utilize one of the Tnas 2.5Gbe ports connecting to my PC MB built-in 2.5Gbe port for really a FASTER files transfer speed close to 200MBps. Or either connecting to my PC USB3 2x1 (1GBps), USB3 2x2 (2GBps) port, as Tnas has USB3 5Gbps ports.

My PC (having a few fast NVME SSD) is sitting less than a meter from Tnas, TOS 5.1.145. I still can connect to my wifi 6+ router with a wifi USB dongle. THANK YOU.

(This is my fourth time of seeking help of the same subject in the forum, still waiting for the ANSWER. Next would initiate a new subject request, before giving up hopes.)

The USB host port on the TNAS doesn't allow for the DAS-like functionality you want.
Yes, you can have a direct connection to your PC via the 2.5Gbe network port, while at the same time the other port can maintain a connection to your router.

TMzether, indeed, it worked. Thank you.

Files transfer max speed is 282MB/s (pc 2.5Gbe to Tnas 2.5Gbe). It was 111MB/s with 1Gbe switch.

Critical info: Only the F2-223 top ethernet port works, with PC detection of Tnas, but NOT the lower port. (Only one cable was connected)

General info: Still can activate TOS 5 but network interface showed connections are, top port as LAN 2 (with PC), bottom port as LAN 1 (with switch).

A good lesson learned. Thank you TerraMaster......

My -424 has the same arrangement which confused me at first :? Maybe the ports should be labelled.
