You can first try to unenable SMB log transfer and Dos protection, then re-enable SMB, and then back up. If you still have problems, please contact us.

I'm going to try but I never changed those options and the device worked fine until last sunday

If so, according to our analysis, it is very likely that something happened during an important update process that took about 20 minutes (such as power failure, interruption), which caused the kernel upgrade to fail.
Nevertheless, we still have a solution, and may have a little requirement for computer knowledge.

I did not do any upgrade anyway I'm going to try with your solution.
I hope this is not going delete all of my data and to solve the problem.
If not I'd really appreciate if you would arrange a replacement

What's the difference between 1G and 2G model?
Do I have to format the pendrive to FAT32?

Please remenber to remove your hard drives bebore you do this.
Please choose according to the memory size of your TNAS 1G/2G. If you choose the wrong one, it will not make any sense.
yes，you need to format the USB device to FAT32/exFAT.

It did not work.
To be honest nothing happened.
I request a remote session on January 15th at 6.45 AM (Italian time).
I've already arranged a return with Amazon but I have to confirm it by January 31st. If not confirmed I'm going to lose my money.
I'd really like to have a replacement from you because this model is not available on Amazon anymore.
