I'm running TOS6 fine on my F2-422. Is yours one of older models? I believe the BIOSes that aren't compatible are MAPL0301V14, MAPL0302V13, MAPL0302V14, MAPL0303V14, MAPL0303V15, MAPL0304V14 and MAPL0304V15eulero wrote: ↑18 Jan 2025, 16:39 I will never buy a Terramaster product again.
I bought an F2-422 only to find out today that there are multiple firmware versions with hardware limitations and that mine can no longer be upgraded. so I bought an F2-422 and paid like everyone else ... but mine is worse than the others. It's shameful, you should compensate us.... really shameful!

As can be said for every electronic system. ?Windows 11? - not on THAT antiquated, old piece of junk!
I have bought a product with same name, price and technical specification as your, probably also at the same time, now i know there are technical limitation on mine?CraftyClown wrote: ↑18 Jan 2025, 21:42 Sorry, you weren't very clear in your post. In that case it does sound like your device is now too old to upgrade to the latest firmware.
Not really sure why you feel you need compensation though? TOS5 still works perfectly fine and the vast majority of NAS owners won't even be aware there is another version of TOS. TOS 6 is for newer hardware that can handle it.
We apologize, but as stated clearly in our update instructions, due to hardware limitations, certain models of NAS are not supported for upgrading to TOS 6.0.530, and your NAS model is among them.eulero wrote: ↑18 Jan 2025, 21:29CraftyClown wrote: ↑18 Jan 2025, 19:33I'm running TOS6 fine on my F2-422. It is clear since the first message of this thread. No need to rewrite, thanks.
I can make screenshots of configurations, to restore what has been configured. But someone says that plex settings will be saved, what else do I need to consider?
