If I save a working config from a TOS6.0.530, or higher, can that be used when updating an older system to Tos6?

I will never buy a Terramaster product again.
I bought an F2-422 only to find out today that there are multiple firmware versions with hardware limitations and that mine can no longer be upgraded. so I bought an F2-422 and paid like everyone else ... but mine is worse than the others. It's shameful, you should compensate us.... really shameful!

I successfully updated to TOS 6 without a problem, even Plex Server works without losing the settings. What i find weird is that when i visit the app center, plex shows as installed, but when i go to "All" in the Appp Center, it gives me the option to install Plex which i haven't tried but i guess I will be getting 2 installations of Plex. Do someone  have an idea what this is about?

I'm running TOS6 fine on my F2-422. Is yours one of older models? I believe the BIOSes that aren't compatible are MAPL0301V14, MAPL0302V13, MAPL0302V14, MAPL0303V14, MAPL0303V15, MAPL0304V14 and MAPL0304V15

Sorry, you weren't very clear in your post. In that case it does sound like your device is now too old to upgrade to the latest firmware.
Not really sure why you feel you need compensation though? TOS5 still works perfectly fine and the vast majority of NAS owners won't even be aware there is another version of TOS. TOS 6 is for newer hardware that can handle it.

I have bought a product with same name, price and technical specification as your, probably also at the same time, now i know there are technical limitation on mine?
For you is correct? We have different standpoint .... and i say that for you is ok because you don't have the problem .... is clear.
And finally, no, absolutely no ..... it's not the same as other pieces of technology, such as processors, chipsets or GPUs, which change generation within their commercial names to be clear and honest with customers.

We apologize, but as stated clearly in our update instructions, due to hardware limitations, certain models of NAS are not supported for upgrading to TOS 6.0.530, and your NAS model is among them.

The system configuration backed up in TOS 5 is not applicable to TOS 6. Before proceeding with the update, please make sure to read the precautions in the update notes carefully.
I can make screenshots of configurations, to restore what has been configured. But someone says that plex settings will be saved, what else do I need to consider?
