I can't see any other explanations for this and I'd rather not have to flash using USB Initboot. Does anyone have any insights on what the issue might be?
Just so others are aware, support remoted in and subsequently advised that the only way to address this was to remove all drives and reinstall the OS. I did this, and it updated the OS.

However, despite checking with them, they told me only to install my HDDs despite the OS previously being on my NVME drive. At completion when I asked the same support person again they explained you can't migrate the OS and have to start over.

That last bit was more of an annoyance, probably the most difficult thing has been that the HDD drives have not reestablished easily. I already went through quite a lot manually migrating from a Asustor (AS304-T), however the proprietary RAID system and lack of ability to load these back after an upgrade really takes the cake. It seems like TNAS/TOS is really only suitable for people who are using these a lot, have a lot of experience in manually troubleshooting software bugs and are after cheap equipment- outside of these, unfortunately I can't see why anyone would choose such poor software and support over Asustor, Synology or QNAP.

Anyone who can point me in the right direction for advice on how to restore the TRAID, would be appreciated, not certain I'm willing to trust the Terramaster support anymore.

Thanks.

We may need to confirm your BIOS version, you can wait for our notice.

I see the first post have been updated, so this means my F5-221 with bios MAPL0304V15 cannot be updated to TOS 6.0.530, correct?

Hello,
I have a F5-221 with BIOS MAPL0304V17, that seems to be accepted to upgrade to 6.05.530 version.
But besides, I purchased a Terramaster 2.5G Ethernet USB adpater. I'd like to know if the new TOS version is still compatible with that ethernet adapter before upgrading.

Thanks.

Perhaps could be possible to update USB initboot.

That has nothing to do with BIOS. That relates to the USB flash drive.

The system configuration backed up in TOS 5 is not applicable to TOS 6. Before proceeding with the update, please make sure to read the precautions in the update notes carefully.
