Sorry if it's been answered already, but Is there an .ins file available for a new initialization?

No beta builds have ever had an .ins made available; only official stable builds get that treatment.

Thanks. This is my first Terramaster NAS so I wasn't aware. Just finished the TOS 6 -> TOS 7 upgrade without issue.

I just updated my f4 ssd to TOS 7. Now one problem occurred.
If I access the NAS directly via browser or application I see all the data that should be on there. But if I connect it directly to my Mac Studio or iPad as a network storage I don't see the main folder and be unable to get to my data.

Dear Support Team, wtf ?

There are literally zero responses regarding the permissions issue in Docker containers. You reply to everything else, but completely ignore this problem.

ChadH42 wrote: 23 Dec 2025, 01:11 I have attempted to install TOS7 3 times on my F5-221 NAS. Every time it states that the install was completed but the system never re-boots to complete the install. When I try and manually restart it, the NAS is bricked! I lose the bootloader and have to rebuild the NAS each time.

Any idea what the problem is? I have the right BIOS and TOS6 version as per your Page 1 of this thread.
If the version of the system you are currently running is 6.0.794, installation failures are usually related to the hard disk. Please perform a health check on the hard disk.
Disk health check shows all disks Healthy. I even swapped disk 1 & disk 2 (I have all 5 filled) and the same thing happened.
I have tried 3 more times with each failing to re-boot after it says that 100% installed. Any ideas??

I just upgraded to 7.0.0299 that just had some shared (SMB) folders. I then upgraded to latest 7.0.0309.
I then installed Plex and configured it to point to Movie and Photo folders.
However I can't see any content.
I checked shared folder permissions - I see a "plex" user but when I try to assign read/write or read only permissions, the screen flashes quickly after pressing the apply button, but nothing happens. When I click the X to close the window, I get a warning that changes weren't applied. When I click the Save button, the window closes - but - it does not save the changes.
Also tried rebooting and trying again but got the same results.
Please advise.

Thank you for your beta test participation and feedback!
If you pay attention to the posts from our stuff, you will know we did make respond the docker permission issue, this is a known issue, we will fix it in the coming new beta releases. One thing you need to know, as we stated on the beta release note, TOS 7 is still on beta stage, we are collecting bug report and make a plan for all such issues for fixing, different priority.

One more important thing, keep you gentleman, if wtf happen again, you will be banned.

I’ve written 4 posts, and there are 3 more from other users — I haven’t seen a single response from you. It would be enough to simply say “we’re aware of the issue and it will be fixed in the next release”

A ban — for what exactly ? For saying “wtf” ?

To be clear, it was your team’s complete silence that pushed the situation to the point of “wtf.” I don’t have the time to roll back to TOS6, so I’m providing feedback here — and it’s being completely ignored.

I understand perfectly well what a beta test is, which is why I’m posting my feedback here, but I see absolutely no reaction. I also sent an email — no response there either. And after all this silence, I get a reply with a threat of a ban ?

Is this really how you treat your customers — the ones who trusted you and bought your hardware ?
