thanks a lot, hope to hear experiences from many users. Now something strange happened. I wrote that my "/" element had LESS than 200MB of free space; now it's full 1.47/1.84 GB: that means MORE than 200MB. I don't understand why, but now I'm really reconsidering my idea to reinstall TOS. Any suggestions? It would really be a pain in the ass reinstall formatting my drives...

I have one TNAS running x.24 and one running x.33. they both show the same size / as your system. Everything that I need is running fine so until an os update that makes a significant update that I need, I'll keep running what I have.

My system size is 1.61/1.84 (GB) running TOS 5.1.33. How come there are such differences? What are the major system storage hogs? What can I do to also come down to 1.47 GB?

I had more than 400 Mb available on the / partition, I have tried to update and got the white screen

I tried to update to solve the SMB issues and backup my data, i think I'll have to install 5.0.176

I have removed the hard drives to reinstall TOS 5.0.176 but now TNAS PC can't find my NAS, any idea of what's happening??

I have finally burnt a new boot usb stick to replace the original one and reinstall TOS 5.0.176

Every morning the NAS working hard on the hd's and it is not possible to access it. Only a hardreset (power of(on)) give me the NAS back. No entry in the logs

Guess it may be the impact of the backup, synchronization or snapshot tasks you set, please observe whether they are related in the scheduling time?
Can you access via SSH, Telnet and SAMBA when you can't access normally? (need to enable in advance)

Looks like most problems for this version are linked to the system partition running out of space. So anyone who is also limited to the initial 2GB better skip forever Or until TM support finally comes up with some proper and complete guidance. I really hope the reason why they are so quiet lately is because they are really busy preparing the solution ...

I'm hoping I've not got the same issue as what I've seen, as i haven't updated anything on my nas, but i had to do a power cycle today and turn everything in the house off - now when i boot up im getting the white screen with the blue loading bar indefinitely

is it possible that it auto updated? and what in the world do i have to do to get back online?
