Yeah, I checked it; I read the forums here on how to check it and although it is compatible it's the increase in partition on the 5 drives that scares me. From what I read, all 5 drives would need to be wiped anyway to go to TOS 5 then continue upgrading to TOS 6.

Oh, and don't get me started on RAM modules haha. Every module that was 'compatible' in my 221 did not work, I tried maybe 8 different sticks and either it would not boot or would boot but not recognise it so I gave up. I even took it into a shop and they could not get it working!!

Now I am having other issues I figure I would just buy another one, a better one, got to admit I am more than a little excited for it's arrival.

I'm surprised about the ram - shame, it would make a good backup spare if upgraded.

I agree about the RAM. I was thinking about what to do with the old one. As I have a ton of documents (work and personal) I might just leave that document drive in the old 221, whack another drive in there for PC backups etc and just use it for that but I've not decided fully yet.

Got your PM but replying looks like it's disabled for some reason (not sure if it's disabled for me or you though) :o

To ensure an accurate assessment of whether the F5-221 device can be updated to TOS7, please provide the following key information: the BIOS version of this model, the current TOS version installed on the device, and the capacity of the system partition (whether it is 2G or 8G). Thank you for your support and cooperation!
