One more thing, there is currently no other *.142 IP address on my network. I ping it, with the NAS off and get requests timing out with 100% packet loss.

I am having serious forum posting issues...I posted a few responses, then a duplicate one, because it wasn't showing, so I delete it and now it is showing all my posts deleted...so I will try putting all of the info again in this post...it might have already all been said:

I reset my NAS multiple times and each time it makes me change the IP address, then it borks out again. I'm at a loss. I did boot it up with the m.2 drives, but the HDD's are out at the moment. My Dad is a linux man and helped me with the command line and even he said it sound like I killed my NAS. Is there a way to bypass changing the IP address and still initialize?

I did the Ifconfig down then up commands and saw these messages on the back up:
Direct firmware load for rt1_nic/rt18125b-2.fw failed with error -2
Unable to load firmware

Is there a way to upload the firmware via a USB? I would be happy to try that. I tried before, but was unable to locate any firmware, just boot loader stuff and I wasn't sure if that was the same or not.

I did the cat /usr/lib/version command and got this: TOS_X642.0_5.1.145

Also, there is no other *142 on my network. I ping it and get 100 packet loss with requests timing out.

I need some serious help, please. :?

Have you set static IP on the TOS network or router?
In TOS version 5.1.145, it is unable to successfully modify the IP when using a static IP.

I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. This has me so frustrated, I haven't even wanted to look at it lately.

I've tried static and not on the router, both act the same.

This morning when I reset the NAS, it just beeps at me.

I'm about to return this on warranty, just don't know how what to try or do anymore.

I spoke to support and redid my hard-drives and re-initialized. All is good, so far.
