The features related to version 6.0.688 Beta are currently in open testing. Users can experience improved performance and enhanced remote access among other new features. During the testing process, we have collected extensive feedback to further refine these functions. If no issues arise, we will incorporate these features into future versions to provide users with a smoother and safer experience.

Understood, but there seems little in this release for me now. It show in the control panel that 6.0.694 is available as an "update". Is it correct to update direct from this Beta to .694 version or is that going to cause issues because .694 does not incorporate any/some of the Beta elements?

Yes, your concern is correct; please do not upgrade directly from the 6.0.688 Beta version to the official version to avoid unknown issues. However, you can reinstall the TOS system version 6.0.694.

You might want to stop Beta versions showing later versions as a viable upgrade in control panel and put some warnings on the release pages about this limitation.

CAUTION:

Used Beta version to install a second HDD and set both HDD to system disk. This "worked". Created a new volume on HDD2 with new pool aas a (second) single disk. This apparently "worked".

Shut down to install version 6.0.694. Looks like the install did not recognise HDD2 and skipped the section(s) to perform manual installation and to nominate both HDD as system disks.

Investigating but I don't hold out much hope that this process is viable.
