If you need a long term solution maybe a very fine dremel (other brands are available) cut across the top of the screw stub (and locator) might allow the stub to be removed with a small, flat bladed jeweller's screwdriver. You will, of course, need to be heedful of debris. Again some of the ubiquitous double-sided tape around the locator before cutting might help contain particles.
