I have one of these little beasts, so far running ok. I am having some issues with unmanic though, when it's doing transcoding to 264 to 265 it's incredibly slow. Like hours and hours for tv show, and days for movie. Before I was running on a F2 424 with a n95 cpu, that was much faster when using QSV or VaaP.

When looking at GPU top, the power draw and clock speed of the gpu seem incredibly low, yet the load is high.

any ideas?

Can you provide the video player software you use and the specifications (e.g., size/resolution) of the videos?

Hi the software is a docker container called unmanic using QSV to transcode h.264 to h.265. Resolution of files is 1080p, and for a 30 min show the starting size is approximately 1.8 to 2.4gb in size. The size once complete is around one third to half, but the time it takes to transcode feels very long.

I have two other systems running unmanic on unpaid, one on a F2-424 that runs faster despite being a low end cpu, and another with a Nvidia P620 card. The F2-424 and the P620 are evenly matched in speed, but the F8 ssd is much slower to a magnitude of 3-4x slower in transcoding.

TOS might not be as bad as some people say—I haven't run into any performance issues using Jellyfin. Kinda glad I'm not the type who likes to tinker a lot, or I probably would’ve run into this stuff too.
