FYI: A 'failed' email test does not log me out, but it does cause the dialogue to 'hang' for an (indeterminate) length of time. I usually have user set to 'stay logged in' and simply closing and re-opening browser window will restore my session without the hung process showing any longer.

How many more months and versions are going to elapse before the simple email settings get sorted
for everyone

Hi mate, can you please post in a text block what the /etc/.default.sys file should be to fix this and answer my question if there is any danger to my NAS changing this on a running system?

Any updates on this? Can I please have a copy of the file in text format? Will this be fixed in the next TOS6 release? It's a serious issue preventing SMTP configuration across devices.

Hi. The configuration needs to depend on the specific system environment and cannot be solved by simply replacing files. Please contact the official website customer service window or technical support email to arrange remote assistance

TOS v6.0.648-00165 update was just released. I have updated and re-tested attempting to set my SMTP settings and this bug is still present!
Why was this bug not included for fix in this new release? When can we expect to be able to set our SMTP settings again!?
Contacting customer support every time we want to change our SMTP settings is not a permanent solution to this bug.

This fix has not yet been applied to version 6.0.648. However, even if we apply it to a new version, it will only prevent similar issues from occurring again but cannot automatically fix them for you.
If you need to repair the file, you can contact us to schedule an engineer to help you or reset the system.

Please keep in touch with the technical support email and provide device information and specific TOS version information to facilitate the docking and handling of subsequent issues.
