Is it convenient to contact us for remote inspection? If you can't find it, you can refer to the following:

Are your computer and TNAS in the same network segment or is only one network cable plugged in when installing the system?
When you use TNAS PC to click search, will your monitor broadcast the IP address?

I have the same problem after updating a new F4-424 from TOS 5.1.145 to TOS 6 (I'm running 6.0.535).
email notification in general seems to be broken in TOS 6 (email verification worked in TOS 5).
Control Panel->Notifications->Send a test email also fails with a "Failed to send email to the following recipients..." growl.

We have currently taken note of the issue.

It's never worked from 'local' in TOS6 and it still hasn't been fixed. I don't think anything addressed to smtp port 25 works (verification nos?) BUT, apparently, it's "not an issue they can replicate". Presumably they have better access to their mail server than we do.
