It is known that when the 2.5G network port is connected to a 100M router, the 2.5G network port light does not light up.
We guess that your router may be of 100M standard. It is recommended that you use the latest standard Gigabit router or a higher standard router.

  • Thank you for taking the time to bringing this to my attention and explain this..
It is strange the TP router is younger than my MAC which was bought 8 months ago and a 4G+ MiMo router so naturally one would think this to be at the latest norms and have a 1Gbit ethernet LAN.
  • Go figure.. :shock: I'm shocked to read the spec highlighted below..

Time for a new 5G MiMo router as part of a new two VLAN build.

Any suggestions of a good device to purchase to complement to accommodate a dual VLAN build would be most appreciated amounts the sea of kit out on the web..
