Plex cannot be enabled and "Operation Failed" is displayed.

Hi,

I've just bought a Terramaster F4-424 Pro for the purpose of creating a media server using PLEX. TOS 5.1.145 is installed.

I have installed Plex both from the App centre and manually but it will not let me enable it. Always says "Operation Failed".

Being new to Terramaster and NAS's i checked the folder where Plex is installed Home > Plex and the directly is empty. The only folder in there is a TerraSync folder as that is the other app that I have installed.

is there any help for this situation or is Jellyfin a better option as Plex maybe faulty?

Have you tried the measures mentioned in TMRyan's post?

yep tried what was mentioned in the TMRyan post.

changing the database in the folder Plex > Library > Application Support > Plex Media Server > Plug-in Support >Databases is not possible as there are no files in the PLEX folder so cannot locate the folder or even change the database.

I changed the name of the Shared Folder but as I cannot configure PLEX this won't do much.

After installing and enabling the Plex Media Server app, it will normally generate these files automatically. If it does not generate them automatically, please try renaming or deleting the Plex folder.
