I have been weary of implementing updates since I migrated from TOS 4 to TOS 5 which broke everything. Since I managed to make everything work again after a further update (I don't keep track of the numbers), especially the phone/tablet app update which fixed the ability to access my files remotely (a NAS that doesn't allow you to access the files remotely is as useful as a brick with an RJ45 connection!). So I reluctantly update incremental numbers, not major jumps after my experience moving from TOS 4 to TOS 5.

I used the TOS Control Panel to install the update, I tested the TOS to make sure everything still worked after previous experiences of a system update which seemed stable. I received an email from Terramaster stating that there was an option to install third party open source apps, that's when I made my first attempt to access the TOS. As a result that is when I discovered that my username and password was incorrect (I use the NORDVPN password app, so this are auto fills the fields with my information) and the addition of a numbers field that doesn't accept that the numbers are correct once filled in, why do we need that extra field?

For security reasons, after several credential attempts fail, CAPTCHA verification is required. Please make sure you have input the correct credential.

So after several attempts to access my TOS using the website, I typed my username and password into the fields instead of the usual autofill. This has allowed me to finally access the site, both the username and password I typed into the fields are exactly the same as those contained within the autofill.
