The Local Area Network is available & fully functional so the NAS will operate within it, but with Security Isolation Mode enabled, anything that needs to communicate with the Internet/Wide Area Network will fail because of the restrictions from said mode; it's easier/quicker to use this mode versus individually restricting each shared folder by IP address/range.sianderson wrote: ↑22 Oct 2025, 00:45what is the point of a Network Attached Storage if the network part of it will no longer work?
Isolation Mode is really best used in a situation where the data is remaining local to that network & backups of that data are being performed manually to external storage media.
But in most use cases, this Isolation Mode is likely not ideal.
