Since reading this and looking into it, I would really love to get home assitant working on my NAS, i've tried using the docker container for this but i'm not getting very far, think I need some assitance

Unfortunately i don't use docker and can't help with that.
I can produce a tpk file for HA Core, see the limitations on the table.

This update has done something weird to my other installed applications. I cant see them in the installed section and they fail to load, if I reinstall them they work again, also it must still be running as it is forceing DNS settings but not allowing internet access. How do I manually delete/remove this to get things running again?

Sorry the last application I installed was HomeAssistant

Have you tried to reboot the NAS? I will check this later tonight but I didn't had any issues during HA installation.
