Webdav and Recycle Bin

Post by luismartin »

I need to remotely access the NAS via WebDav and I've found that if I delete a file, that file is not available in the Recycle Bin, even if I look at it in the TOS File Manager.
But Recycle Bin is available and working locally using SMB.
My question is if there is a way to enable Recycle Bin when files are deleted from WebDav or is there some other option ?
Thanks in advance

Dear customer,
Thank you for your valuable feedback! We attach great importance to the problems you encounter when using WebDAV to remotely access NAS.
Currently, the Recycle Bin function is only available when performing file operations through SMB and file managers, and the Recycle Bin function cannot be enabled for files deleted under WebDAV access. We understand that this may cause inconvenience to your use and have recorded this issue.
In the future, we will consider adding Recycle Bin support for WebDAV operations to the system.
Thank you again for your feedback. If you have any other questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us and we will serve you wholeheartedly!

Thanks for the reply, but what I was asking is if it's possible for WebDAV to have a trash can somehow, not that it has lost data.
