Mac Crashing

Hi,

I've searched the forums but can't seem to find an answer for my problem so hoping someone can help.

I have an iMac running macOS Catalina version 10.15.7 and I have a TerraMaster D2 Thunderbolt 3 connected with 2 Samsung 2TB drives in the enclosure. When I first connected to my iMac using Thunderbolt I just set it to JBOD but I have since changed this to Raid 0, however I am having the same issue regardless.

At the end of the day I put my iMac to sleep, leaving everything else connected. At some point overnight the TerraMaster seems to cause my iMac to restart, when I come back to the office in the morning I am faced with a 'your computer was forced to restart' message, which seems to indicate that the TerraMaster caused the issue.

Does anyone know why this is happening or how to stop it??

Hi,TerraMaster D2 is a hard disk box connected to imac, it will not wake up the imac computer. IMAC is the master device and D2 is the slave device. The slave device cannot wake up the master device. Only the master device can wake up the slave device. You can check the energy-saving setting options of imac computer, it may be related to this. Or try to disconnect D2 from imac to see if there is the same problem.
