F4-212(1GB) had 3 drives installed copied over data from PC so I could clear off a drive, and move that over. Everything was going great. Put the 4th drive in and it took almost 3 days and it had not completed synchronizing the new drive. Long story short, I shut everything down, took the 4th drive out, and I put it back in my PC and tested it everything was fine with the drive. I took all of the drives out of my terramaster, put just the new drive in and ran the initialize on it, and booted up with a stand alone drive. I was able to put the other 3 drives in and that came up with a warning of Degraded RAID. I could not see the files, but it showed that there was used space on the raid. Shut everything down, put the original 3 drives back in with out the 4th, and now it will not boot from the drives.
Have I lost my data?
I thought about building a boot from a USB but from what I can see according to this viewtopic.php?t=1455 my device can not do this. Have I made a big mistake purchasing this? I just wanted a simple NAS for PLEX that I could put all my media on and be protected from a disk failure. I can't even get it configured what a pain.

What are your drive models? and capacity? What RAID configuration you setup?
