Notification of Termination of Technical Support and Maintenance Services for 220/420 Series Products
The 220/420 series models, which were launched in 2015 and discontinued in 2018, have been on the market for nearly 10 years and have been out of production for over 5 years. The design and hardware configurations of these products are no longer capable of meeting the latest system requirements. Additionally, many components have been discontinued, making it impossible to continue providing repair services to users. Therefore, effective December 31, 2024, TerraMaster will terminate the technical support and maintenance services for these products.
The affected product models include: F2-220, F2-420, F4-220, F4-420, F5-220, and F5-420.
What Does the Termination of Technical Support and Maintenance Services Mean?
Once technical support and maintenance services are terminated:
1. No Further Updates: The product's applications and systems will no longer receive updates.
2. No Consultation or Service: System compatibility consultations, troubleshooting, and related services will be discontinued.
3. End of After-Sales Support: The after-sales services for these products will be terminated.
What Should I Do After the Termination of Technical Support and Maintenance Services?
Due to the prolonged use of the devices, some components may have aged and could be damaged, posing a risk of data loss due to device failure. We strongly recommend that you purchase new storage devices as soon as possible and transfer or back up your data. If you need assistance with migrating your hard drives to a new TerraMaster device, please contact our customer service for help.

Would it be possible to release BIOS updates for all these models (& even other end of life products) that unlock all options, since these will now be fully deprecated by year's end?
It would help give them new life for alternate use as well as prevent them from instantly becoming e-waste for some customers.

If there were a new BIOS available, we would be happy to provide it, but currently there isn't.
