Hi
I bought 2 Noctua NF-A8 PWM 4-Pin 80mm Fans:
but I can't use them because the connector does not fit to the socket of the NAS.
The original fans are Yeehon a8025l12s:
The connectors: Noctua 4pin PWM, Yeehon, a connector cable I bought
Can someone please explain what type of connector the Yeehon is ?
It's obviously not a standard PWM connector and it's to big for a 4pin fan-connector.
Help please !!!

Re: Problem with Fan-Connectors
What's the issue with the original fan?
It's suggested to use original fax in our TNAS.
You can contact Amazon TerraMaster and ask for a replacement of the fan.

Re: Problem with Fan-Connectors
I would suspect that he wanted to replace the fan because the std fan is not quiet and in an environment where it desired to be quiet hence the Noctua fan replacement as they have a reputation for being very quiet i have one fitted to an NVR because of this.
At the risk of voiding warranty you could just cur off the original and solder the wires to the Noctua....but dont Noctua fans come with converter leads? mine did.

Re: Problem with Fan-Connectors
Yes, the standard fans are very cheap and noisy.
The Noctua NF-A8 has no converter leads (I'm not sure what you mean by that). What fan do you use and what is a NVR ?

I fitted one of these https://noctua.at/en/nf-a4x20-flx to a network video recorder for CCTV it came with an impressive collection of adapter wires/plugs.

Re: Problem with Fan-Connectors
Indeed, the standard fans are exceptionally modest and boisterous.

Re: Problem with Fan-Connectors
I also keep getting error notifications on my new F5-422 NAS that my hard drives' temperature are too high. This repeatedly occurs whenever I do a chunk of file copying tot he NAS across my network. I also can't tell if the rear fans on the NAS are even working. They don't seem to be and I have tried every speed option in the Power settings on the NAS desktop console. No matter which of the four speeds I choose I can't tell any difference in the noise levels or fan exhaust output when I put my hand behind the NAS. Is there a way to check if these fans could be disconnected accidentally or malfunctioned?
