Cannot setup new OneDrive Sync

Post by bbsrdn »

Have an existing Terramaster F4-210. Just reset the NAS drive and loaded with most recent TOS (4.2.44). Added OneDrive Sync Application. Attempted to setup a link. Logged into Microsoft Account. Approved permissions at Microsoft. Then get page that states:
"Cloud Sync requires for following permission. Redirect your personal information back to http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8181, please make sure http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8181 is your TNAS domain." xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the internal ip of my NAS drive. If I click Accept the window disappears, but nothing changes in the OneDrive Sync box. It continues to show the Create Connection window. If I click the next button it restarts the process.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there any estimate in a timeframe for the next version? As one of the primary uses of this NAS drive, having this functionality not working for any significant time means that we will need to seek other solutions.

Its not just the onedrive app, the google drive sync does not work as well, they must use the same system to connect to each service.

Regarding the issue of cloud drive apps on TOS 4 failed to authenticate or use, please update the app application.
Currently, except for Onedrive, all other apps have been updated.
If you can not see the latest app updates in Application center, please update TOS to the latest TOS 4.2.44.

Still waiting on a resolution to this issue. Is there any idea of an ETA or has the OneDrive sync been abandoned on the older models?

Made the same experience when I tried to setup a new connection to OneDrive. Today, I learned from support chat (bot?) that the issue might be solved with TOS 5. Unfortunately, this is not available vor F4-210. What a shit. The chat proposed to change to F4-212 for which TOS 5.1.73 is available. For me it is a clear sign that they do not intend to fix the issue for F4-210.

The chat guided me to an marketing email address in order to check out how that can exchange can work. If there are any costs involved I will send the device back to seller. Let's see what happens.
