Hello, new here.
I just tried to send a link to a friend so they can see some photos I uploaded to a public folder. But it fails no matter what I do.
Anyone have helpful ideas?
Thanks Keith

Re: Remote access fail
Hello and welcome! It sounds frustrating that you're having trouble sharing your photos. First, ensure the folder is indeed set to public. Check the sharing settings and make sure you’ve copied the correct link. Sometimes, generating a new share link can resolve the issue. Also, try sharing the link via a different platform or browser to see if the problem persists. If all else fails, consider uploading the photos to another service temporarily. Hopefully, one of these steps helps!

What are the versions of your TOS system and TNAS mobile app respectively? Are you unable to create a share? Or unable to access the share link after creating it?Irishwhiski wrote: ↑14 May 2024, 02:50 Hello, new here.

Hey Keith, welcome! It sounds like a frustrating issue. A few things you can try:
Double-check the folder’s privacy settings to ensure it's set to "public" and that the link-sharing option is enabled.
Make sure you're copying the correct shareable link from the folder’s sharing menu.
Some platforms have a limit on the size or number of photos that can be shared. Check if you might have exceeded any limits.
Lastly, try using a different browser or clearing your cache and cookies. Sometimes that does the trick.
Hope one of these helps! Let us know how it goes.

Re: Remote access fail
my first thought is ports/firewall blocking it or UPnP disabled (UPnP automatically opens ports for you --for good or bad). Not sure though... never tried links
Re: Remote access fail
To perform remote sharing, you should first enable the remote access feature of TNAS.online. After setting up file sharing in the file manager, go to the "My Shares" section and copy the generated remote sharing link.
