These things generally happen in software development unless you are a multi-billion dollar company with an entire QA department. Code regression is often difficult to find at times, but it’s understandable for the developers to oversee. I assume TerraMaster depends on their customers to report on these end case regressions so they can properly merge the correct code pushes to the proper git branches.Juan87 wrote: ↑09 May 2024, 17:36 Since it seems like it's fun for you to change from /Volume1/@usb/ to /mnt/@usb/ in one version and change back from /mnt/@usb/ to /Volume1/@usb/ in another, and that for some users that is not entertainment but a workload, could you at least make the two forms equivalent? It does not seem to be difficult to program and this would prevent us from changing access to folders, for example in PLEX.

I agree with what you say and I'm sorry for using a sarcastic tone to express my annoyance at this regression in the code. My solution is not to update until the error is corrected, as expressed by TMroy (thanks very much for his response).
With level 5.1.123 I am totally satisfied.

Don't think 5.1.131 is bug free
F5-421
Trying to review control panel and USB drive cannot be seen, tried to check rsync jobs which I am sure I created and those are not there either?
Help!

Yup. 5.1.131 also apparently broke the data scrubbing function for TRAID btrfs pools.
Re: TOS 5.1.131 (X86) is Released for Update
I had problems with 5 when it was first released, only seeing 2 of 4 ethernet cards on my F5-421. was told be Terramaster it's a hardware issue! went back to 4.2.40 and all four ethernet ports work?
5.1.131 is showing all four at the moment. but seem to have other bugs...!

F4-220 & Hypercache still doesn't work.
Two builds in a row, 5.1.123 & this one; the wizard starts to configure it, but after 80%, it just disappears. Tried all the wizard's options, none work.
Have had to SSH to secure erase the SSD multiple times because it fails to do so through TOS UI, rebooting afterwards.
At least on .123 it gave a RAID error once.
It worked fine on TOS 4.2.28, prior to a full overhaul to move to a larger system partition on the unit.
